    COME
    CLOSER

A reconstructed hard-dance signal from the Italian and Australian compilation ecosystems.

Originally produced by the Santoro & Smith collaborative identity, peaking on Italian Dance Charts and later migrating to the Australian Skitzmix rave culture. A testament to global vinyl distribution before the digital era.

From Italian vinyl pressing plants to Australian rave culture.

The Santoro & Smith identity was built for the harder, faster edges of European club culture. "Come Closer" was an experiment in combining emotional trance vocals with driving hard-dance elements.

The signal found its first major resonance in Italy, licensed to Liquid Sound and rocketing to #2 on the Italian Dance Charts. But physical vinyl distribution has a way of creating unpredictable cultural routes.

By 2006, the track had crossed the globe, landing on "Skitzmix 16" in Australia via Central Station Records, embedding itself into an entirely different rave ecosystem. Today, it stands as a preserved artifact of how music travelled before algorithms dictated discovery.
